Compassion in World Farming Awards Ceremony

Brief

The brief was to produce an awards ceremony that would compliment the cause of the Compassion in World Farming organization. This included Wired sourcing an iconic venue, which would require little dressing and create interest by name alone. Adding to the success of last year, the focus was to provide more inspiration, support and recognition to those closely linked to the cause.

Solution

Wired were responsible for carrying out a venue search to find a setting that would achieve a balance of the WOW factor as well as lend itself to presentations. After proposing a number of suitable venues the client chose Freemasons Grand Lodge due to its existing theater space and grand architecture, which required very little dressing and therefore fully supported the brief.

On arrival, guests were greeted by a hospitality team who distributed name badges, programs and directed guests to the atrium on the first floor. Upstairs, there was a relaxed atmosphere with low-level lighting and furniture placed around the space. Guests were treated to specially designed vegan canapés and drinks whilst having the opportunity to mingle and network.

Even though set-up time was limited, Wired managed to create a set that produced a more intimate feeling without losing the grand elements of the room. This included an award stage with a branded backdrop, 2 built-in screens and draped walls with large-scale screens covering two more sides of the room. The room was then also complimented by atmospheric lighting in the brand colours.

After the awards ceremony, the guests continued to enjoy drinks in the atrium before heading home with a gift filled goody bag.

Result

The client was impressed with how the venue had complimented the brand and how Wired’s professional production had managed to get through 40 awards in the limited time slot. The continued positive feedback from all the guests has exceeded last year and the hope is to recreate a similar event in 2012.
