MWB Dragon Boat Race
Brief
MWB were given an opportunity to sponsor a Dragon Boat Race and wanted to maximise this marketing opportunity to reach new potential clients. With a tight deadline of only 48 hours until the event, Wired advised and implemented several communication avenues to increase their market reach.
Solution
Wired stepped in to assist MWB in reaching a new audience by arranging a team of promotional staff wearing branded uniforms to interact with the crowds, hand out leaflets and encourage people to visit the MWB tent where they could speak with MWB staff.
Inside the tent, guests were treated to complementary drinks and canapes whilst being able to enter a competition to win a dinner at Hakkasan restaurant. As a parting gift, guests were given Chinese sky lanterns with branded inserts, which worked will with the theme of the event.
Results
The event had a fantastic response and through the competition, MWB captured over 100 business cards with potential new business opportunities to add to their database. All in all, Wired’s ability to turn around design and print projects at such a fast pace allowed the client have a real presence at the event and create touch-points with a new and potentially profitable audience.
